Whether you’re an individual interested in volunteering, part of a school or corporate group, there’s a volunteer opportunity available for you!

Here are a few ways to get involved:

  1. Community Cleanups with the Clean Team, a partnership between the West End BIA and Gordon Neighbourhood House. Volunteers come together to support the Clean Team by doing general street cleaning, graffiti and poster removal and litter audits. If you’re interested in doing your part to keep the West End litter-free, join a cleanup event by emailing stephanie@gordonhouse.org.
  2. Attic Thrift Store Team Member where volunteers get a chance to directly engage community members as an ambassador to Gordon Neighbourhood House while gaining retail experience and aiding to build a stronger community. This is a weekly volunteer opportunity in a friendly atmosphere where members can gain verbal communication, customer service and leadership skills.   3. Community Lunches with fellow reliable and friendly volunteers that help weekly to prepare and serve community lunches. If you want to learn more about food preparation while gaining serving experience, check out this opportunity by emailing volunteer@gordonhouse.org.
  4. Young Ideas is perfect for those looking to build connections and friendships within the West End! Whether you’re interested in their beach meet-ups, drag queen bingo, cooking classes or game nights, they host various events throughout the year to help you meet fellow West Enders! Interested?
