Having only been open for a week, Tartine Bread & Pies is a welcome addition to the Davie Village – particularly with the sudden onset of crisp autumnal weather. This cozy and brightly lit space, located at 1069 Davie Street, is the perfect spot for a quick lunch or a lazy weekend breakfast. Tartine offers a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, soups and other home-cooked meal options, along with their trademark homemade pies, pastries, cookies and tarts.

After their location on Beach Avenue grew in popularity, the owner and management team decided to expand to Davie Street in order to accommodate their many customers more efficiently. It was a time of exciting change as they renovated the new location and prepared for opening day. On a busy Friday the week of their opening, it is clear from the bustling atmosphere and cheerful chatter that the spot is well received.

Tartine offers rotating daily lunch specials, such as buttermilk macaroni & cheese, meatloaf, and pulled pork – all made in-house with love. The best selling turkey sandwich is made with oven roasted turkey and cranberry mayo, on freshly baked multigrain bread, and is considered one of the most popular items on the menu. The cafe also offers quiches and fresh breakfast sandwiches, along with an assortment of savory tourtieres and tarts to go. Additionally, the cafe offers their own line of specialty roasted coffee from JJ Bean, along with espresso drinks, tea, and cold juices.
