EEEKOn November 26, Shop The Neighbourhood challenges Canadians to support small businesses by shopping local
Shop The Neighbourhood, a local shopping awareness campaign from Yellow Pages, encourages Canadians to adopt sustainable shopping habits by supporting small businesses in their communities.
This year, to celebrate its fourth edition, Shop The Neighbourhood – now a year-round campaign – continues to put an emphasis on the Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is asking Canadians to take part in the Shop The Neighbourhood Challenge by making a local purchase during one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
Approximately 12,500 businesses and one million Canadians participated in last year’s Shop The Neighbourhood event resulting in $155 million invested back into the Canadian economy.
Yellow Pages will be mobilizing in select neighbourhoods across Canada including the West End to raise awareness for the importance of local businesses and the positive impacts of shopping locally.
To celebrate the shop local cause, street teams will be distributing free Shop The Neighbourhood balloons and shopping bags. Canadians are invited to join in the festivities by making purchases at local businesses in their neighbourhoods to show their support.
