EEEK25th Annual Strawberry Festival
Kick off summer with the West End Seniors’ Network and the 2015 Strawberry Festival at Barclay Heritage Square, June 13 from 1-4pm. This free all-ages event is back for another year with live music, raffles, vendors with unique wares, kid’s games and most importantly, strawberry shortcake!
Haven’t been to a Strawberry Festival before? Here’s what you can expect:
- $5 Strawberry Shortcake (served in biodegradable dishware)!
- Live music by Black Gardenia, Backspin Bluegrass Band, and WESN’s own Heritage Harmonies Choir!
- Bazaar featuring Happy Hookers’ Craft Sale (WESN members), White Elephant Sale by the Attic Thrift Store, Book Sale, Accan Natural Skincare and an Art Sale.
- Activities including a Kids Zone with face painting, bouncy castle, free Senior’s Led Craft Workshops and a Photo Booth by Blue Monkey Photobooth.
- Onsite composting and recycling by Recycling Alternative!
- Other exciting booths by the Vancouver Public Library, City of Vancouver, West End Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre, and West End Clean Team!
Not to be outdone, the Vancouver Friends for Life Society will also join in on the fun an open house, BBQ and bake sale and the Roedde House Museum will be be open for a flea market and complimentary tours.
